Resin preparation and fluid dynamics
This Yoshi figurine arrives as a fully manifold STL, ready to drop right into your slicer. The 38.8 MB binary mesh captures smooth, continuous curves across the iconic round snout and heavy boots. For MSLA users, hollowing the model is highly recommended.
Set a 1.5–2.0 mm wall thickness to conserve valuable resin. Don't forget fluid dynamics. Punch a 2.5 mm drainage hole at the lowest point—typically under the boots or the tip of the tail—to prevent suction cup failures against the FEP film during the peel cycle.
Mesh repair and support generation
Generated via Hunyuan3D 2.1, this model underwent rigorous automated mesh repair. It is guaranteed watertight with zero self-intersections, meaning your slicer will not misinterpret the geometry. The high-density triangulated surface requires no manual vertex tweaking.
Auto-generated supports easily handle overhangs greater than 45 degrees. Tilt Yoshi 45 degrees backward on the build plate. This specific orientation protects the delicate facial details from support scarring and minimizes complex bridging between the arms and torso.
Slicing profiles for SLA and FDM
Compatible with any FDM, SLA, or DLP printer accepting standard STL files. For resin printing, slice at a 0.05 mm layer height to achieve a flawlessly smooth, paint-ready surface. You can export directly to GOO, CTB, or PM3M formats for immediate printing.
If you prefer FDM printing, scale the model to your desired desk size. A 0.2 mm layer height paired with 10–15% infill provides an excellent balance of print speed and structural integrity.
