Design and printability
This Pokémon-inspired miniature strikes the perfect balance for both resin and FDM printing. The geometry avoids complex bridging, ensuring clean extrusion paths for FDM users printing at a standard 0.2 mm layer height. For resin miniaturists, the model is optimized for a 0.05 mm layer height to capture organic curves and fine facial details without pixelation.
To save expensive material and reduce peel force on your FEP film, the interior features built-in hollowing with a 1.5 mm wall thickness. A discrete 2.5 mm drainage hole is placed at the lowest point of the model to prevent suction cups and stop uncured resin from pooling inside the print.
Mesh generation and repair
Generated via Hunyuan3D 2.1 and processed through an automated mesh repair pipeline. The resulting STL binary file contains between 10K and 500K triangles, ensuring a perfectly manifold, watertight mesh with zero self-intersections. This guarantees sliceability across Chitubox, Lychee, and proprietary Phrozen slicers without missing layers or erratic infill generation.
Slicing and orientation
The model's orientation is calculated to minimize support contact area on visible surfaces like the face and chest. Auto-generated supports easily handle any overhang greater than 45°. FDM users can place this directly on the build plate with minimal supports, while resin users can export directly to GOO, CTB, or PM3M formats for immediate printing.
